Or was that just my perception? I mean, there were these other two, dare-I-say "normal" beekeeper guys, so why give the Seppis so much more attention than the other guys received? By throwing in the Ten Commandments video, it seems like the filmmakers were themselves trying to confuse the issue and put a particular spin on the Seppis. It wasn't that I didn't think they "deserved to have their story told," but I was more interested in the stories of other folks, and of the bees themselves, so the film's neglect of those other people and aspects seemed odd to me.Elizabeth Hornbeckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16079257362666121607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379524531306475136.post-19026158600697151582010-03-04T07:50:10.086-08:002010-03-04T07:50:10.086-08:00I'm so glad you're my friend!I'm so glad you're my friend!Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02381264167574943722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379524531306475136.post-33807181787228168962010-03-03T21:10:16.555-08:002010-03-03T21:10:16.555-08:00Well, I don't know anything about your rating ...Well, I don't know anything about your rating on Rate My Professor, but I think your question was lost in your rambling speech (and blog post). It was hard to decipher what you were getting at Saturday, but I may not have been paying attention the whole time. And after reading this post - which you graciously shared with me via FB - I still don't think you got the point of the film.

I didn't have as much of a problem with the Seppi family as you did. I don't agree with much of what they had to say, but I respect the fact that they're allowed to say it. As the filmmaker said, they have a right to tell their story. Besides, they are harmless.

That's just my opinion, but you're entitled to yours. Of course, if you're going to publish your critique in such a public forum, be prepared for folks to call you out. It seems as if your other two commenters are just trying to get under your skin and it worked.

Also, as a proponent of Web 2.0, I am disappointed that an educator such as yourself has such a limited perspective on a tool like Twitter. I think that maybe you're not following the right people.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10546958494179349497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379524531306475136.post-4743143717341908462010-03-03T11:28:51.769-08:002010-03-03T11:28:51.769-08:00Furthermore, I don't see either of you lame-br...Furthermore, I don't see either of you lame-brains contributing anything meaningful, insightful, or constructive to the conversation about this film or any other films at the festival. Also I try to maintain a level of courtesy and politeness towards people, EVEN ON THE INTERNET. The big problem with the internet is losers who behave much, MUCH worse online than they would ever behave face-to-face. If you don't have the decency to sign your own name or to identify the person you're trying to engage with, your nothing more than a coward.Elizabeth Hornbeckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16079257362666121607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379524531306475136.post-76390021272870586272010-03-02T21:26:52.799-08:002010-03-02T21:26:52.799-08:00I'm going on a horoscope-directed sabbatical u...I'm going on a horoscope-directed sabbatical until April, so I won't be able to post a full response until then.
